Gas Safety Week 2025 - Day 5: Why it’s vital to use a qualified gas engineer

Gas work is not DIY territory. Whether it's an installation, repair, or service, only a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer should carry out the job.

Always:

  • Ask to see the engineer's Gas Safe ID card
  • Check they are qualified for the specific type of gas work
  • Visit www.GasSafeRegister.co.uk to verify their registration

Using unqualified workers can put lives at risk and invalidate warranties and insurance.  Trust the badge – it’s there for your protection.
